Robert Maier is Faculteitshoogleraar bij “Theorie van argumentatie in relatie met sociale dynamiek”, Universiteit van Utrecht. De laatste jaren is hij actief binnen de volgende onderzoeksterreinen: sociale theorie van argumentatie, vergelijkend onderzoek van verzorgingsstaten en migrantenjongeren. Binnen het RVO onderderzoek houdt Robert Maier zich bezig met de reïntegratie van allochtone vroegtijdige schoolverlaters.
